My take on the original Light Fury design 3 httyd
FrigidLollipop. • 4 yr. ago. I feel like the earlier concept ideas make more sense for the world HTTYD was set in. All of the dragons we've seen so far in the movie look like they are adapted to surviving in their niche (eg. the Gronckle is tough and eats boulders, and can easily camouflage in a rocky environment).

flornray I did a Light Fury redesign since she just makes no sense to me. The top is before, and the bottom is after. Things I changes: Made her head less squished, just longer and thinner. Gave her a small fin on her head. (like Toothless has small spikes.) Made her ear nubs bigger, and gave her an extra set of smaller ones.

I'm not the first person to have done this, but I did put my own unique twist on this and gave the old Light Fury design similar colors to the disappointment we got in the movie lol. Honestly, I much prefer the original concept to what we got, it's better detailed, more believable.

Laziness and merchandise pandering at its finest. : r/httyd. The lightfury is the only dragon species with blatant differences between males and females. Bruh, the light fury is a different freaking species than the night fury. It's like a Polar bear vs Grizzly Bear. They can mate and create viable offspring but obviously they aren't the same.
